Dec 06,2024The Simple Sensor Night Light is an intelligent and energy-saving home lighting device. Its core function is to automatically adjust the working state according to the intensity of the ambient light. This function mainly relies on the synergy of the photosensor inside the night light and the human infrared induction switch.
The photosensor is the key component of the night light to sense changes in ambient light. It is usually installed at a certain position of the night light and can directly contact the light of the external environment. When the intensity of the ambient light changes, the photosensor can keenly capture this change and convert it into an electrical signal.
When the ambient light becomes darker and falls below the preset brightness threshold of the night light, the photosensor sends a signal to the control circuit. This signal indicates that the current environment needs lighting, so the control circuit starts the induction mode of the night light.
In the induction mode, the human infrared induction switch of the night light starts to work. The human body is a warm-blooded animal that emits heat and infrared radiation. When a person or animal approaches the night light, the infrared induction switch can detect these heat and infrared radiation, thereby judging that a living organism has entered the sensing range of the night light.
Once the infrared sensor switch detects the presence of a living organism, the night light will immediately light up and provide soft lighting. This lighting is usually bright enough to illuminate the surrounding area, but not too dazzling, which is very suitable for night use.
The lighting time of the night light is usually limited, such as 15 seconds or 30 seconds. This is to save electricity and avoid unnecessary energy waste. If the infrared sensor switch does not detect the presence of a living organism again during this period of time, the night light will automatically turn off. This design not only ensures the practicality of the night light, but also achieves the purpose of energy saving.
On the other hand, if the ambient light becomes bright enough and exceeds the preset brightness threshold of the night light, it will not light up even if a person or animal approaches the night light. This is because the photosensitive sensor has sensed enough light and believes that the current environment does not require additional lighting.
